Anna loves to dance

Anna loves to dance! The Finn McCabe Love to Dance Scholarship for 2022-2023 was awarded to Dance Junction Saugus who chose Anna to benefit from this scholarship opportunity. While Anna encounters challenges with some areas of life, she shines when it comes to dancing.

“The brightest spot in her life has been Dance Junction. She started there at age 3 and Ms. Lauren has always been her champion. Dance gives Anna a safe place to interact with other kids, confidence in herself, and a place to truly shine. Dance Junction has been our calm in the storm and because of your scholarship we were able to give Anna more classes which gave her more opportunities for peace and happiness”.

THE FINN MCCABE LOVE TO DANCE SCHOLARSHIP

When we approached Lauren DiFilippo at Dance Junction Saugus to inquire about Finn attending class there, her instant response was ‘whatever day, time or class suits, Finn is welcome to attend’… and she truly meant it! Finn attended there for several years and loved every minute of it. She participated in the showcases and even had the opportunity to dance at the half-time show at a Celtics game. It was easy to see that this is how Dance Junction welcomes every child, no matter what their abilities or challenges are. The Finn McCabe Foundation supports the seamless inclusion that Lauren and her team embody at Dance Junction Saugus and has been honored to award The Finn McCabe Love to Dance Scholarship to them for the past several years.

This scholarship is designed to support dance schools who value inclusion to build their programs to support more dancers with unique needs. The Scholarship is awarded in September of every year. For more information, see our PROGRAMS for details and application form.
